On my quest to learn how code my own custom themes, I was intrigued at the theme options provided for within some Premium themes and some of the better free themes. It took me a while, but I was able to find a few articles on the subject. Here the list just in case you haven’t come across these yet.
- Create and Options Page for your WordPress Theme
- WordPress How-To: Theme Options
- WordPress Theme Options Framework
- WordPress Theme Toolkit
I primarily used the Theme Options Framework, though I did spend a lot of time with the Create and Options Page on blog.themeforest.net. If your interesting in creating themes options for your theme, these are the best resources I’ve found. One word or caution though, if a plug-in will handle what you are including in your theme options, I would suggest using the plug-in.
